Wind Energy
MEA's Wind Measurement System uses high quality sensors mounted in a manner which conforms to the international standards for wind measurement. Each system is built to order and tested before delivery to site.
MEA will arrange installation and commissioning.

Pressure can be measured at the top of mast or (more commonly) at ground level where the sensor is located
inside the vented data logger enclosure.

Data Logger and Communications
| |
|
The sensors are connected to a data logger after passing through a lightning surge protector. Data is stored in the
data logger memory and is downloaded to a PC either by dialling in to the system or by the system pushing data automatically to the internet. Magpie software is used to manage the logger and view the data.

Masts, Mounts and Cables
| |
|
MEA can supply tubular (to 60 metres) and lattice (to 100
metres or more) masts, and arrange their installation.
System commissioning is managed by MEA. Sensor mounts are individually designed for each system to meet appropriate standards. Sensor cables are usually routed through flexible steel conduit for protection.
