Plant Science
MEA represents the Delta T Devices Plant and Canopy monitoring product range in Australia. These high quality products have been used in plant physiology studies for over 30 years. Measurements such as leaf area index (LAI), stomatal conductance, plant water status, and root length are made by this range of products.
Porometer
The AP4 Porometer measures stomatal aperture in terms of leaf conductance to water vapour. This is a major determinant of water loss from plant leaves and of CO2 uptake in photosynthesis.
HemiView
Hemiview uses a digital SLR camera with fisheye lens to undertake hemispherical image analysis. A self-levelling mount assists with exact horizontal camera orientation and is ideal for tall canopies. The powerful HemiView image analysis software estimates LAI, gap fraction, solar tracks and 30 other site factors and parameters.
SunScan Canopy Analysis
SunScan uses field measurements of PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) in crop canopies to provide valuablevaluable information about Leaf Area Index (LAI) and biomass production.
WinDIAS
WinDIAS 3 provides powerful image analysis of plant and tree leaves, and can automatically measure the percentage of healthy and diseased leaf area. The system is very quick, measuring up to with the Conveyor option. In addition WinDIAS can measure perimeter, length and width, and count the number of objects in view (seeds, needles etc).
DeltaT Scan
Delta-T Scan measures root length, root surface and counts root tips. The system uses a flat-bed scanner to measure a large sample at high resolution. The options include general purpose image analysis functions such as shape and size analysis, direct measurements from maps and photos of known scale, counting of overlapping seeds and small objects, soil particle size distribution, sorting by standard sieve mesh sizes and leaf area measurements.
