Pressure Sensor

The 6542 Digital Water Depth and Temperature Probe (WD&TP) provides accurate long term measurements of water depth and temperature from 0 to 60°C.

It can measure water depths of 1m to 20m in standard ranges, with an increased accuracy of 0.2% full scale. Outputs are available digitally via SDI-12 and HSIO signals , or as analog voltages (similar to 6508 WD&TP).

The 6542 WD&TP comprises the same digitally corrected pressure sensor type as the Model 8007WDP Digital Water Level Recorder , housed in a rugged stainless steel casing, with a Delrin nose-cone. The internal temperature transducer is the same type as the Model 6507A Red Thermistor and comes supplied with a 15k reference resistor.

An integral cable contains a vent tube for barometric compensation and a Kevlar™ support member for longitudinal stability. The cable's individual signal wires are epoxy sealed into the casing to provide protection against water ingress.
