Electronic
MEA has a number of Electronic Engineers allowing us to develop solutions relating to sensing, measurement interfacing, data transmission, control and third party system integration. Our electronic designs are robust, low power and pay heed to issues such as serviceability and field diagnosis which are often key requirements for long term remote measurement systems.
Embedded Software
Many interfaces function through the use of microcontrollers and embedded software. MEA has extensive firmware development experience using a range of microcontrollers including Motorola, Microchip, Texas Instruments & Rabbit.
Mechanical
MEA has a Mechanical Engineer which affords each custom measurement system the chance to have a unique physical construction that best suits the needs of the application. This includes the selection of appropriate materials to meet the environmental demands placed on the system.
Software
MEA has software engineering capabilities to develop custom software solutions so that the customer receives software which delivers exactly what is required from the system. Largely, this is offered around MEA's core Magpie software product. MEA's abilities in software include an extensive understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications and other useful commercial software tools allowing MEA to offer a complete software service to the measurement system user.
Technical Skills
Additional to our engineering capabilities are the technicians who do the system building, testing and support. This is an dedicated, efficient and highly capable team of guys who have a very thorough understanding of each system they construct.
Purchasing
When it comes time to obtain the parts needed to build the system, MEA's purchasing department has the skills to obtain the right parts, at the right price and will work hard to ensure the parts are delivered to the production floor when they are required.
