GBHeavy and Watermark (GBLite) Sensors
The MEA2176 GBHeavy and MEA2195 Watermark are both soil moisture tension sensors. The GBHeavy has a range from 50 to 500kPa and is only used in clay or loam soils with grape vines or other deep rooted plants. The GBHeavy is used when the using Regulated Deficit Irrigation techniques. The Watermark (also referred to as the GBLite) is used in all soil types and has a range from 10 > 200 kPa.This product can be used with the GBReader, GBug, GTBug, MEARadio. MEA can build a custom measurement system using these sensors.
The T4 Tensiometer.
Tensiometer T4 Loggable
The T4 tensiometer is an electronic tensiometer used with the Infield7 handheld reader or with data loggers for customer built soil moisture tension recording systems. The sensor measures soil moisture tension to 85 kPa.The T4e has an external refilling tube which allows the sensor to be refilled or emptied without being removed from the soil.
This product can be used with the Infield7. MEA can build a custom measurement system using this sensor.
The T5 Tensiometer.
Tensiometer T5 Fast Response
The T5 tensiometer is a very small, fast reacting soil moisture tension sensor. The T5 will respond within 5 seconds of insertion. The standard measurement range is to 85kPa and the T5x is calibrated to 200kPa.This product can be used with the Infield7. MEA can build a custom measurement system using this sensor.
The T8 Tensiometer.
Tensiometer T8 Loggable
Like the T4, the T8 tensiometer is an electronic sensor which also measures temperature, and is used as a permanently installed sensor. Output is 0 to 2000mV to cover the range to 85kPa.This product can be used with the Infield7. MEA can build a custom measurement system using this sensor.
The TS1 Tensiometer.
Tensiometer TS1 Loggable
The TS1 tensiometer overcomes the problems experienced when soil dries beyond 85 kPa. In these circumstances ordinary tensiometers are no longer able to take measurements. The TS1 elegantly solves this problem. An internal pump will draw water from the soil, refill the cup and remove all air through an exhaust outlet - fully automatically. Even if only a bubble is detected the cup is departed automatically. If the temperature probe indicates an emerging frost, the TS1 empties itself to prevent damages caused by freezing.This product can be used with the Infield7. MEA can build a custom measurement system using this sensor.
